Engagement Rings with Lab-Grown Diamonds

Our engagement rings are made as standard in 14 karat recycled yellow gold and white gold with lab-grown diamonds in color E-F and clarity VVS. You can also choose 18 karat recycled yellow gold, 18 karat recycled white gold or platinum, and on selected designs upgrade the diamond quality to color D and clarity VVS1. The collection includes engagement rings with one or more lab-grown diamonds.

Lab-grown diamonds typically cost less than mined diamonds of comparable size and quality. This makes it possible to choose a high-quality diamond, and often a larger carat weight, at a more accessible price. A lab-grown diamond has the same chemical composition, crystal structure, hardness and optical properties as a mined diamond. The difference lies in how the diamond is created, as a lab-grown diamond is grown in a laboratory under controlled conditions.

Diamond Cuts in Engagement Rings

The cut has a strong influence on the overall look of an engagement ring and on how the lab-grown diamond reflects light. At Sisi Copenhagen, you will find engagement rings with several diamond cuts, including the classic round brilliant cut and a range of fancy cuts.

The round brilliant cut is known for its brilliance and timeless look. For a more elongated shape, choose an oval-cut lab-grown diamond, a popular option for engagement rings.

You will also find pear-cut, emerald-cut and cushion-cut lab-grown diamonds. A pear-cut diamond is rounded at one end and pointed at the other. The emerald cut has an elongated rectangular shape with step-cut facets, while a cushion-cut diamond has a square shape with rounded corners.

Each cut has its own proportions and character, so the choice comes down to the look you prefer for your engagement ring.

Popular Types of Engagement Rings

The traditional solitaire engagement ring has one lab-grown center diamond and a clean, timeless look. For a fuller design, choose a halo engagement ring, where smaller lab-grown diamonds surround the center stone. Our multi-stone engagement rings combine several diamonds in one design. Three-stone rings are often associated with the past, present and future.

Which Hand Do You Propose With?

In Denmark, the engagement ring is traditionally worn on the ring finger of the left hand, so many people also place the ring on the left hand when proposing. The tradition is often linked to the old story of a "vein of love" running from the ring finger to the heart.

If you want to follow the traditional approach, the engagement ring is given at the proposal and the wedding band is added at the wedding. Some people instead choose a ring that works as both an engagement ring and a wedding band.

There are no fixed rules. Some wear the ring on the right hand, while others choose to combine several rings. The most important thing is that the ring suits your style, your story and the way you choose to celebrate.
