Thickness of your wedding band
Thickness of your wedding band
The thickness of a wedding band is the measurement from the inside of the ring to the outside. The thickness affects the ring’s proportions. durability and how it feels on your finger.
Our classic wedding bands are available in three thicknesses: 1.3 mm, 1.5 mm and 1.8 mm. The right balance between width and thickness ensures harmonious proportions and comfortable wear.

What does the thickness of the band mean for the ring’s appearance?
The thickness affects how light or subtle the ring appears on the finger. A thinner ring creates a lighter and more discreet look, while a thicker ring appears more prominent. At the same time, the thickness plays an important role in the ring’s proportions in relation to its width.
For very narrow rings, it is important that the ring does not become too thin, so that it remains durable over time and does not appear too delicate.
For example, 2 mm width is our slimmest profile. For this width, we recommend a thickness of 1.5 mm so that the ring maintains balanced proportions and sufficient strength, especially for sizes above 54.
What should you consider when choosing band thickness?
When choosing thickness of your ring, we recommend that you consider the following:
- The balance between the ring’s width and thickness
- How light or prominent you want the ring to appear
- How the ring feels on your finger in everyday wear
If you prefer a different thickness, we can customize the ring after your wishes. Simply fill out the contact form at the bottom of the product page or write to us at diamond@sisicph.dk
